Losar

Losar is the last village on the Indo-Tibetan border road, ahead National Highway no. 22 via Rampur – Nako – Kaza and goes further to cross Kunzum La (Kunzum pass). This village in cold desert at an altitude of 14,000 ft has panoramic view with Spiti river on one side snow capped peaks surrounded.

Nomads Cottage offers a comfortable stay at this place not known to most of visitors and that too are rare in this area. At a distance of about 500 kms from Shimla and further 150 kms being Manali is definitely not a weekend destination. The beauty of this place is beyond the capability of expression…..

Kunzum La (Kunzum Pass) is 18 kms from here and from end of June till September, one can approach the very famous Rohtang Pass from the other side of Manali. This place “Losar” is has got faster and easier access from Manali side, but reaching this place via National Highway no. 22 is an eventual experience.
